' Both, the Joy/Kbd editor and the MouseClick xy Position Editor are checking for double assignments ' within same file and ' the second File 'MouseClick' File and viceversa. ' There are no Items with the Prefax "Kbd-" any more. ' You must Re-Select your assignments. This can't be done in automatic. ' You can assign Shortcuts with ' - the Joy/Kbd Editor ' - the Position XY Editor is simulating Mouseclicks and Joystick buttons ' - your Simulator ' There is a special Help Textfile explaining any single Editor Item. ' Runway and Landing View (Runway) > open the [ Spd ]Button. (color red) ' Big Radar > the Input Field (bottom right corner) is opening. ' You input your A/T Speed ' or ' Select the Runway View (must have the Focus) and use the Mouse-Wheel. ' NOTA: ' Not all aircrafts are reading or returning the right FSUIPC Offsets. ' Some Apl are reading but the relative Apl-Button is not moving or the light is missing. ' But you can use a Simulator Key for it. ' Make a test for your airplane! 'NEW > Nearest_Airport > Joy/Kbd Editor. (View on the Big Radar) ' Now > Button [N] on Main-View or select a ShortCut [Nearest_Airport]. ' This View must have the Focus! ' This View is a On/Off View! ' The Airport distance, range items, are depending on the Radar [ Range ] Distance! ' L-Click on a Item or just scroll using the arrow keys or Mouse-Wheel. ' Any selection (Item) is visible on the Big Radar: ' - exact position ' - all Fly to Data like Heading, Distance, ICAO, Airport Name ' - Data on Radar is updated while flying. You could use it for reading the distance flown. ' - once selected the Apt ICAO is copied into the > Flight Panel > [Icao] Field x easy access. ' - NOTA: ' If you change your destination Rwy you must Re-Insert your ICAO!! ' - Exit the Nearest Apts List: ' R-Mouseclick > Select ' or ' use the "ESC" key only when the Mouse-Cursor is within the List (Focus) ' otherwise it could interfere with your Simulator. ' ' The Nearest Airport list can be moved ' While selecting the Apt Data could be hidden behind this View. ' L-Click on the View-BORDER. The View is moving, depending on where you click. ' If the view disappears > Close and Re-open. ' Try it and you understand it. 'NEW > [KeepUpAlert_below_601ft] (Voice) ' FlightPlan-View > Bottom > right corner ' or ' use a ShortCut > Joy/Kbd Editor 'NEW > Flight Plan - now Flight Plan items can be moved up + down and deleted, no limit. 'NEW > Now the Radar RANGE is extended to 5000 nm. 'NEW > Big Radar - now the deviation field, left of the [Spoiler 40%] is now the Terrain ALERT " Radio Alt " instrument. ' The ALT Alert below 2000 ft AGL has been replaced with this function and is always active. ' The Runway TakeOff + Landing view is still using the Alert ALT; only below 2001 ft. 'NEW > Keyboard Timer setting 50 to 400 ms ' Default = 300 ms ' > Flight Plan View ' Is influencing your Kbd-Key pressure. ' Using a faster Kbd reaction for combined Keys, Ctrl + Shift (^+) you can use: press the ' Keys in 2 steps: Ctrl, wait, Shift ' 'The same thing is valid for the Joystick Buttons pressure if you change the ' Timer speed > Flight Plan View > left corner. 'NEW > Updated AddAirports + RwyLength program 'Avoid manual copying. ' The "rwylengh.txt" + rwyradar.txt" file is created + copied directly into your program folder. 'GENERAL '======= 'The Blue Circle Range > Big Radar on the right side of the Range Selector. ' Important for ascending and descending - determine the Angle V/S Value. ' Also used for creating a blue circle range around the Aircraft position. ' Selecting a longer distance is decreasing the V/S value and viceversa. 'Remember the Wind direction heading correction ' Flight Panel > [Rwy] Button > Approach Precision radar View. ' (using it is depending on your Airplane instrumental setting) 'Main View > the Cruise speed field ' Automatic for FSX default aircrafts ' Input for X-Plane, MSFS ' The ATIasHold for a correct graphic is depending on it. (Speed) ' Indicating the Cruise speed set and the actual speed. (2 colors) ' Check the Cruise speed after a aircraft change 'The Flight Panel Buttons can be opened in sequence with the Kbd Ctrl + P Key. ' See the 4 Default shortcuts. 'The Mouse should be used as less as possible. '=============================== 'When you fly with ATIasHold >>> '=============================== ' 1) on ground the AP, AP-Hdg + AP-Alt are CLOSED. After landing the AP is closed in automatic. ' 2) If the AP-Alt is selected by your aircraft, NOT the AP, you can Take Off. ' 3) On Air start a Flight Plan (AP is opening in automatic) or just fly around. ' 4) NEVER start a Flight Plan, virtual WPT heading or RWY-heading while sitting on a Runway! ' Remember: At destination you can always return to the "xWPT" at 20nm distance and return to the RWY. ' If your destination APT is your departure APT then ' Take Off, increase Hight, select "WPT" on the Flight Panel (ShortCut) + Return. ' ATIasHold is only starting with a destination Apt + a Rwy selected! ' Then, where you fly to is not important. ' Remember: If your Airplane or Simulator is opening the Autopilot AP in automatic before or during ' Take Off you must close the AP. Your Yoke would be blocked on Air. 'The Default Keyboard Keys combinations 'Open / Close the Kbd Connection ' The Main-Key = Ctrl + F12 (^F12) '4 Special Default Keyboard connections --------------------------------------- 'Open the Flight Panel ' Ctrl + Back (^Back) 'Open the Flight Plan ' Ctrl + Shift-Key (^+) 'Start the Flight Plan > [flpl]-button on Big Radar. ' Ctrl + Return (^Return) (select 2 x for starting the Flpl if this view is closed) 'Open in sequence the Flight Panel buttons: (T)CAS, FREQ, APLF ' Ctrl + P (^P) 'Manual Landing ' The automatic Glide-Slope approach/descend is active. ' When you are about 1 or 2 nm before the Rwy close the A/T Arm and Speed button if you are flying a Liner like the 747. ' Look at the actual engine pressure as reference for changing to manual Throttle lever. ' Open the spoiler 100% before touch down + set the Speed to minimums! ' The speed is most important. (speed is live) 'REMEMBER the Flight Plan setting - Apt + Rwy '============================================ ' Avoid unnecessary complaints! ' 'Any time you RE-SELECT the same Flight, different or end a Flight Plan, with your Simulator you ' MUST Select a ATIasHold Destination Apt + 1 Runway! 'Missing this important detail ATIasHold would reach the Rwy and landing correctly BUT... ' the Radar Flight indications would be wrong and could confuse the Pilot. ' 'In general, ATIasHold is not working without a Dest-Apt + a Rwy selection. 'After then fly where you like. Following the basic flight plan is not mandatory. 'A basic Flight Plan is including 1 Apt + 1 Ryw + the ATIasHold virtual Waypoint you can fly to ' using just the Wpt-Hdg + the Rwy-Hdg you select from the Flight PANEL. (Shortcuts available) 'You don't need a Flight Plan for a free flight from A to B. 'Just select 1 Apt + 1 Runway. That's it. 'Take Off and fly. 'When it is time for reaching the destination Apt then you use the MANUAL wpt + Rwy selection here: ' Flight PANEL > [wpt] (xwpt on Radar) ' When you reach (or before) the virtual wpt you must select the [ rwy ]. Follow the Radar. ' [wpt] + [rwy] can be set with ShortCuts > Joy/Kbd Editor. 'REMEMBER - ATIasHold is BUG-Free - Avoid Errors '================================ 'Please note that playing with the various functions during a flight may cause some interference. '------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 'A real Pilot pays a lot of attention to this detail. 'This is very important during an approach towards the waypoint that brings us aligned with the Runway and during the Rwy approach. 'Same thing during the Take Off and the V/S procedure. 'Do what is really requested. 'ATIasHold has been tested for many years in this regard. 'Think, I'm not sitting in a chair. Answering to a specific question. I would like to remember the View > Flight Plan (^+) functions. --------------------------------------------------------------- Read all [H]elp + Tooltips! This View is including several procedures. 1) [ 200 ] Set the speed in ms x Joystick + Radar. 2) [ 300 ] Set the Keyboard speed. Default = 300 ms. 3) [ Kbd ] Keyboard connection on/off. ( Ctrl + F12 = ^F12) Reading is always active. 4) [ O ] This circle is opening(closing) the Background View. Shortcut available with the November update. 5) [ GlidePath Slope ] Select a different approach Glide Path or create your own. 6) [Actual Joy + Kbd] On the Flt-Plan View is opening the Joystick/Kbd "ini" + MouseClick-XY File you can see all your actual Joy/Kbd + MouseClick settings. This is very useful when you change the Simulator or you have a particular "ini" file for a specific aircraft. 7) [ Position xy Click ] is opening the virtual MouseClick system. Select a Kbd or Joystick value. The Click-Position must be always at the same Video coordinates. Remember: before you save chose the right Joy or Kbd Key becouse this editor is reading any Joy or Kbd Key while you are typing! If you move the specific View you miss the click position. With the next procedure you can Re-Set all Views at the orig pos. 8) [All Views LOC Position] You can save your actual Views position or select the actual saved positions (default). You can RE-SET all Views to their original position. 9) [ - ] Bottom right Corner On/Off > Keep Up Voice at a RAD ALT of less then 601 feet. Also available with the Joy/Kbd Editor > ShortCut. 10) [ DH ] Set your Decision Height here. Default = 600 feet. Last update SEP/20/2023 ======================= 3 Items has been added to the Joystick + Keyboard Editor. [FOCUS Simulator] " \ " key (example) [FOCUS Rwy-Landing View] Ctrl + " \ " key ( ^ \| ) (example) [FOCUS Big Radar View]] Shift + " \ " key ( + \ ) (example) I'm using all 3 selections with only 1 Keyboard Key including 2 Characters: [ \ ] and with shift the [ | ] key. Can be very useful. Last update SEP/23/2023 > RADAR > AP Heading, Actual Hdg and the Angle difference ======================= Based on some comments received, I changed the view of the correlation between Autopilot Heading and Actual Heading. BigRadar For the less experienced, the difference in 'Angle in degrees' is minimal now. Just observe the autopilot which indicates the heading we want to reach. While the Actual Heading is indicated by the "ND" which changes until it reaches the pre-set Heading, namely the Autopilot Heading. Last update SEP/27/2023 ======================= Based on the Simulator you use the Runway Approach is slightly different. This is depending on the "Deviation" Math Formular by Ed Williams and is correcting the Aircraft return Heading value. Link to Ed Williams is indicated on the Download page. Last update NOV/ ======================= - General Enhancements like Tooltips and various controls. - Radar Range now " no limit " to destination Airport. Very useful for "Free Flight" > Vor or Adf selection > 'Fly to'. - The BackGround View is now selectable with a shortcut you create with the Joy/Kbd Editor. When you first open a local 'Simulator'.ini file this Item is added in automatic. After, open the Joy/Kbd Editor. - The NEW manual V/S selection value holding the VS value pmin while using the automatic [V/S Dist.]. Range: -3000 to 3000 It is positioned above the [V/S Dist.] Button. L-Click open + close. When closed the [V/S Dist] automatic is active. Very useful for Apl like the King Air 350 (x-plane) by Airfoil. For this Apl you should select the Apl specific UP + Down cmd (Pilot view > CLM + DSC) and set it to your Joystick. Available with the XP Joystick cmd selections. When you start the local [V/S Dist.] Button you must select the UP or DOWN command otherwise the VS is not starting correctly. When terminated the Apl is keeping the selected Altitude. (Radar > [V/S selection]) Don't forget to change, lower, the VS value before you reach the selected altitude. Click on and the automatic is reactivated. VS procedure would not stop. Read the 'ToolTip'. There have been several unjustified complaints against Airfoil in the past. - NEW: Using the [V/S Dist.] Descentometer A Timer is starting and a 2. Field is indicating the -/+ Alt Difference within the time elapsed. - NEW: [ DH ] Input your Decision Height. Default = 600 feet. Remember: Interrupt a Flight plan fly and change to Nearest Airport without a new Flight Plan. ========= 1) Open "Nearest Airport". With a ShortCut or the small Button on the Main-View. 2) When you SELECT a Item (Click on Item) the Flight Plan "ICAO" Field is indicating the Apt selected. 3) Select this Airport > Click the [Apt's]Button. Click on the Apt item in the List and follow the procedure x Apt + Rwy. 4) Your Flight Plan is closing. 5) Now you can only use the "wpt" and "rwy" selection on the Flight Panel View. The xwpt is alligned with the Rwy. Start fly to xwpt > [ wpt ]. 6) When you cross, or before, the "xwpt" use the "Rwy" button. Don't forget this! 7) The automatic "Descentometer" is activating based on ALT and Distance to the APT. Remember: ========= The Apl Engine must be on for creating a Flight Plan. Nota ==== When something doesn't work for you ask how to do it. Simply saying 'it doesn't work' and without specifying exactly under what circumstance is simply an expression of rudeness. end .
