ATIasHold v 1.8.5 - June/04/ to June/26/2022 - Updates ====================================================== Pls. read the Tooltips for a specific explanation. 1) A new important feature - Update [ V ]irtual Runway ----------------------- Flight Panel > [ V ] read the ToolTip Now you can save and select any virtual Runway you create. The [Virtual Runways] View is opening - give it a name - [Select Rwy] [ H ] [Delete Rwy] - [ Save ] [ Exit] - All saved Runways are listed. Or Don't save, don't select and just fly to the virtual Rwy. This update is already including the file " virtualrwy.txt " with 7 saved Airport runways. This examples include FSX, MSFS, X-Plane. Coordinates, Latitude + Longitude, are slightly different between the various simulators. A virtual Rwy can be any World Position, on Ground, on Sea, on Air. The virtual xwpt at 20 nm distance at 180° is created you can fly to. When you reach the xwpt > select [rwy]. The automatic Landing approach must be selected > [ V/S Rwy ] with the Glide Slope centered. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For a automatic approach only the [wpt] + [rwy] selection on the 'Flight Panel' are available. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The virtual Rwy data is now visible on the 'Flight Panel' View. Remember: After the [ V ]irtual Rwy selection you can switch to a 'free flight' > VOR > ADF using the [ Vor/Adf/Int ]Button. In this case you don't need to interrupt a Flight Plan. The rest depends only on your imagination. 2) Small Radar ----------- Button [ V/S dist ] eliminated Button [ V/S Rwy ] eliminated 3) Big Radar --------- A) [GP Alt] calculated approach ALT is only indicated not copied into the Flight Panel [Distance] Field. Only use the dedicated Selection-Field near the [Runway] Button. B) NEW On the Bottom Center a new graphic display has been added. - Runway deviation within a limit - ILS deviation 4) The [ Runway ] Take off and Landing View ---------------------------------------- - The 'PFD' is including now the same data as para 3),B. - Is now including the AP, ALT + ALT-Lock, HDG active light. 5) Always open the Flight Panel and check your actual data and configuration ------------------------------------------------------------------------- [ APLF ] Button This View is reading and updating all Flight Data as indicated. When you change a Apt, the second step is [ APLF ] 6) ATIasHold recognizes 4 Simulators --------------------------------- - FSX - MSFS - X-Plane - Prepare 3D 7) Flight Panel > [ APLF ] > Autopilot section ------------ [ ] Yaw Dump - included 8) MSFS Simulator - Descentometer - Runway Approach [V/S rwy] + [V/S Dist] -------------- As already mentioned the MSFS Simulator does not respond to the AP-ALT command like FSX. (on Ground yes, on Air not) ATIasHold recognizes the connection with MSFS and "toggle" AP-ALT off and on. If the airplane does not start to descend/ascend, AP-ALT must be disengaged (toggle). It should then enter automatically. In general this is valid for any Simulator ! There are aircrafts that need the manual AP V/S Cockpit activation for example. Don't forget the Autopilot ALT-LOCK! 9) Q/A --- When you terminate the virtual runway selection [ V ] in order to update all Flight Data --------- ---------------------------------- you must select a Destination Apt + Rwy. The same as starting ATIasHold. Then you can fly wherever you like. 10) Q/A --- Engine Pressure indication > small Main-View, Runway Take off and Landing Panel. --------------- If not starting > click on the [ A,N,I ] button below the PFD Instrument on the small Main-View. 11) Q/A - Joystick connection x Autopilot ALT-LOCK --- Edition 1.8.5 - dated June/07/22 - Now available Pls. read the Tooltips. AP-LOCK > - Main View (ATIasHold) [ Alt Lock ] - Take Off and Landing View > 3 Autopilot control lights The ALT-LOCK is important! 12) JUN/22/2022 The New Approach GlidePath-SLOPE View - Change the Slope scale-values ------------------------------------- Flight-Plan View > [ GlidePath Slope ] > ApproachALT view. Change the Glide Path SLOPE values. ONLY for ascending - Altitude. Descending is very easy. Stay on Air > Speed and Flaps must be set correctly. Don't fly to slow. If you lower the values you increase the descent rate. Slope-Scale-Values > for approaching keep ALT higher or lower. A higher MINUS value is increasing the approach height. ( minus = + height ) Input Errors are trapped and default values loaded. This new feature is a help for less experienced pilots. End. .
